A Year in the Life

Parts are for a regular big band line up of 5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, piano, guitar, bass and drums. The score is untransposed. Doubles – alto 1 doubles on soprano sax throughout, baritone sax doubles on bass clarinet, tpts 1 and 2 double on Flugelhorn. The guitar part is best on acoustic guitar but can be played on any jazz/electric guitar as needed. Solos – drums, alto sax, soprano sax. The drum and soprano sax solos are fixed but any instrument can take the open solo at K, you could even have several solos here if you want before going on to L.
